DistriNet analyses the security of next generation web standards for ENISA

EnisaReportBecause almost any activity on a computer now takes place within a browser window, the browser has become very vulnerable to cyber-attacks. Therefore the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) commissioned DistriNet to make a security analysis of the 13 W3C-stardards. The report: 'A Security analysis of next generation web standards' resulted in the identification and detailed description of in total 51 security threats and issues. The report also states the value of an in-dept security review, as performed in this report, across all specifications. The identified issues have been discussed with W3C, the recommendations of this independent study will be taken in consideration in the further development of the W3C standards.
