KU Leuven ICTS launches DingNet, an IoT Testbed for students and researchers

SmartACControllerThe Internet of Things (IoT) is the future. Annemie Depuydt invites all KU Leuven students and researchers to start experimenting with IoT technology. In collaboration with VersaSense, a DistriNet spin-off company, KU Leuven ICTS installed DingNet. DingNet is a free to use, large scale, self-service IoT testbed. In contrast to standard WiFi, DingNet offers long distance and low power communications. DingNet uses the open source-code of 'The Things Network'.

Koenraad Debackere: “We want to encourage everyone at KU Leuven to be creative. DingNet enables to build innovative IoT applications that are relevant for society.”
