Stefan Walraven

Stefan Walraven is a postdoctoral researcher in the iMinds-DistriNet research group of the department of Computer Science at the KU Leuven, and member of the Language technology and Middleware (LantaM) taskforce. His research focuses on both middleware and software engineering in the context of cloud computing. More specifically, his main research interests are adaptive middleware, multi-tenancy, Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), software product line engineering (SPLE), software architecture, and multi-cloud environments.

He obtained his master of engineering in computer science at the KU Leuven in 2008. His master thesis tackled variability and dynamic customization in AO middleware. In 2014, he received his Ph.D. degree in computer science at the KU Leuven under the supervision of Wouter Joosen. His dissertation presented both a middleware framework and a software engineering method to support the efficient customization of multi-tenant SaaS applications.
